General Rules Please ensure you read and fully understand the house rules at the beginning of your stay. We hope you have a great time! 1. Renters must be over 21 years of age. 2. No more than 10 guests including visitors can be in the house at any time. 3. No parties or events are allowed. 4. Subject to state law, the use of fireworks is prohibited at all short-term vacation rentals. 5. No occupant of a short-term vacation rental shall be allowed to bring a boat, vessel, personal watercraft, camper, ATV, or side-by-side to the short-term rental by state law. 6. Please treat our house with the same respect as your home. 7. Be sure to keep the house clean throughout your stay. DO NOT stick anything on the walls with tape or glue. 8. Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times inside or outside the house, as well as any disturbance caused to other residents in the neighborhood. 9. We would appreciate it if you’re mindful and keep noise to a minimum during nighttime. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. 10. Parking is available for 2 cars only. 11. DO NOT park in the neighbor's parking. 12. DO NOT access neighbors' private property and yards. 13. If you park your car in the inclined driveway, please make sure you put the emergency parking brake on. Rubber stops for car tires are available. Avoid people, or children behind or in front of your car while parking or when the car is parked. 14. Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their family, children, and pets at all times inside or outside the lake house. FALL HAZARD in the balconies/decks, boat house/dock, and stairs. Please WATCH your children and pets all the time. As you see in the listing pictures we have many stairs outside and inside the house. Trees surround us, so there are a lot of leaves sometimes and acorns, be aware of slips on the inclined driveway and on the stairs. 15. Leave the shoes in the mudroom closet at the home entrance to keep the house clean. 16. Smoking or vaping is NOT permitted inside the house. 17. For the use of the house fireplace: Keep any wood or combustible material away from the opening of the fireplace. The code states that no wood or combustible trim can be installed within 6 inches of the fireplace opening. Close wire-mesh cap to cover the chimney to keep birds, squirrels, and other debris from entering. Keep the fire small. Maintain the living room fan off during the chimney use. Use the fireplace guard during the chimney use. Keep children away from the fireplace when is in use. 18. Keep the portable heat lamp on the exterior. DO NOT move from the original place. Turn off the gas valve after each use. DO NOT disconnect the gas tank from the portable heat lamp line connector. 19. DO NOT take inside furniture outside. 20. The sauna in the master room is for adult use only. Please, WATCH your children all the time. Adults, please follow the sauna safety rules. 21. The massage chair in the master room is for adult use only. Please, WATCH your children all the time. 22. We have a stationary bike for exercise in the master room closet for your use and weights. Please, WATCH your children all the time. 23. If you need to do some office work, there is a desk in the master room that you could use for that purpose. 24. If you are using the blue futon in the master room, please put it on the cover sheet to keep it clean and in good condition. The blanket and cover sheet are in the closet. 25. Please, close the umbrella on the master room deck after each use. 26. No food or drink is allowed on the air hockey/pool table. Use the wood bar at the green wall for that and coasters. 27. DO NOT sit at the air hockey/pool table. 28. The pool and hockey table are games for adults, minors playing need to be supervised for adults for safety reasons. 29. There are some board games that you can use on the brown table downstairs, please keep them in the right place when you finish using them. The board games are in the blue and white basket below the TV. VERY IMPORTANT, some games have small pieces, WATCH OUT for the children, sometimes they put everything in their mouths and can choke. 30. We have an Xbox console in the game area downstairs that you can use. 31. If you are using the downstairs sofa bed, please put it on the cover sheet to preserve the mattress. Extra blankets and cover sheets are in the closet downstairs bedroom. 32. If you are using the ironing (located in the laundry room), please make sure you disconnect after use. 33. DO NOT smoke next to or on the top deck of the boat house/dock. Flammable materials are inside the boat house/dock. 34. Close the BBQ's gas valve after each use. Please leave the BBQ and the cooler clean and cover the sun lounge chairs before check-out. 35. DO NOT remove the retractable gate on the deck area at the top of the dock and DO NOT jump to the lake from there. 36. We have two paddle boards, two kayaks, and a pedal boat for the guests to use only. PLEASE WEAR LIFE JACKETS ALWAYS (ADULTS AND KIDS). The life jackets are inside the storage box between kayaks and paddle boards. Please hang the life jackets on the silver and black rack after each use. DO NOT put the wet life jacket in the storage box. Please place the kayaks, the paddle boards, and the pedal boat in their place after you are done using them. The pedal boat is for 4 people max. (2 adults in the front, 2 kids in the back). Max. weight 695 lbs. 37. The use of the lake for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and pedal boat is at your own risk. No lifeguard on duty in the lake. 38. We have two jet skis inside the boat house/dock which are NOT available for rental or guest use. DO NOT enter into the boat house/dock (private). 39.
